Introducing: Green Media for CTV

We’re dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of its video and display campaigns for CTV within the digital advertising industry. With that in mind, we’re thrilled to unveil our Green Media Product (GMP) for ConnectedTV. The product is powered by Scope3, a trailblazer in providing carbon data solutions for the advertising and media sector.

 

The current state of digital advertising has a significant carbon footprint, with a single campaign potentially producing hundreds of tons of greenhouse gas emissions. That’s why we formed a strategic alliance with Scope3 last November, with the goal of achieving substantial reductions in the environmental footprint of its advertising activities.

 

Thanks to our alliance, carbon measurement is now accessible in ShowHeroes’ ConnectedTV (CTV) campaigns. CO₂ emissions are not only calculated and offset, but these packages are also designed to be low-emission and comply with Scope3’s Green Media standards.

 

With the initial CTV Green Media campaigns conducted through H1 2023, there was an average emission of 0.3 grams CO₂e per impression – while typically speaking, one programmatic ad impression equals 1g CO₂e!
